Description

The PhosBan Reactor 150 is designed with the upflow principle to achieve the most efficient use of PhosBan or other chemical filter media. By pushing water from the bottom upward through a dispersion plate, it forces an even distribution of water through the media, and prevents channeling. It can be mounted hanging on the back of the aquarium or below the aquarium. Hose barb connections are for 1/2 inch i.d. tubing. Includes 1/2 inch barbed ball valve for flow control, and hose clamps. Recommended flow rate is 80 to 90 gallons per hour.

To meet the demand of larger tanks and reduce the number of Phosban Reactors needed, TLF has created the Phosban 550 reactor for aquariums up to 600 gallons. It can be mounted hanging on the back of the aquarium or below the aquarium. The pump used should have a flow rate of 100-200GPH. Includes ball valve for regulating flow, and flexible connection fittings that rotate 180 degrees to allow a perfect custom fit to your installation. The threaded lid design makes servicing quick and easy. One reactor for aquariums up to 600 gallons.

Tech Notes

Do not use a media bag in the PhosBan Reactor. Simply place PhosBan inside the assembled reactor according to the instructions. Don’t over-pack the column. Use 200 grams (385 ml) maximum of PhosBan for the 150 Reactor and 750 grams (1.25L) maximum of Phosban for the 550 Reactor.
