Description

The Urchin and Urchin Pro are sump versions of our popular Remora Hang-On skimmers. We've designed these compact skimmers to sit directly in a sump, and to be as easy to operate as possible. No tuning is necessary, and they are as close to set-and-forget as you'll find. There aren't many skimmers with such a small footprint with this level of performance.

The Urchin and Urchin Pro are built from translucent gray acrylic to inhibit the growth of algae and marine organisms. Includes nylon cleaning brush to clean out the spray injector, through an access screw, and an EPDM o-ring for collection cup adjustment. The pump is attached to the skimmer via a section of flexible hose. The pump can be moved into any position you choose. The collection cup is removed from the skimmer by pulling it up and out of the body. Please check that you have the required 23" of vertical clearance under you stand if you are considering the Urchin and 26-1/2" of vertical clearance under you stand if you are considering the Urchin Pro. The skimmer can be ordered with an optional collection drain fitting.
