Description

Julian Sprung's Marine Aquarium Formula. This granular ferric oxide hydroxide adsorbs phosphates from saltwater and freshwater. Also adsorbs silicates and dissolved organics. Does not leach adsorbed substances. Long lasting and easy way to control phosphate levels permanently.

Tech Notes

PhosBan can be rinsed briefly before usa, but do not stir the granules, they will grind into powder. Put PhosBan in a tightly packed media bag or between two layers of fine filter floss in any kind of filter that allows the water to diffuse completly through it. PhosBan is best used in a reverse flow filter, but the flow needs to be reduced to prevent the granules from tumbling.
