Description

The Pink Eye Chalice Coral is always a surprise because you never really know how it is going to grow. Sometimes it grows flat and lazy, following the surface to which it is attaching, other times it will whorl up like a Montipora capricornis. There are even images of them having a bubbling effect with small spires growing out of it.

Diet

Though these corals are mostly photosynthetic, they benefit from a small piece of raw table shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp or silverside once a week. After the lights turn out these corals will extend feeding tentacles and will quickly accept foods. Can be target fed with Kent Marine’s SeaSquirt Feeder, available in the Aquarium Supplies section of this website.
