Curator's Note

This is one of no more than 3 of this ultra rare clam with this type of psychedelic pattern in the U.S. This clam has not been seen in the industry until recently and Blue Zoo Aquatics is happy to offer this to you, our customers. This clam was introduced initially as Tridacna tevaroa, but is now recognized as Tridacna mbalavuana. This is a deep water clam and does not require the same lighting as other tridacna clams. Not much is known about this clam as of yet. The video below was taken on 4-16-2015 and is the exact clam you will be receiving

Because this clam is so large and rare, it has to be shipped to a FedEx Hold Facility for pick up. It cannot be delivered direct to your door. No exceptions!
