Description

The beauty of maricultured coral is that buying it preserves the inherent beauty of wild reefs while still providing reef hobbyists with stunning, hardy and affordable specimens. The maricultured coral we offer here at Blue Zoo is maricultured in Tonga in protected lagoons where it is carefully cultivated under ideal conditions. Once these maricultured corals have reached two to three inches in size, they are shipped to the States, where they are acclimated and quarantined before being placed in dedicated coral holding tanks. Each specimen is held for a minimum of two weeks in these holding tanks under optimal reef lighting with ideal water conditions, while it acclimates to captive conditions. It is from these ideal captive conditions that we then handpick the best specimens for our customers and ship them using our state-of-the-art shipping procedures that insure your new coral specimen reaches you in great shape.
